Orenco Systems: About Orenco - In the News
Orenco’s Web-based VeriComm® Telemetry System Adds New Features
Sutherlin, Ore., April 8, 2005 Nearly 2,500 of Orenco’s innovative VeriComm Control Panels and Monitoring System have been installed in the United States and Canada, providing invisible, 24/7 verification of system operation for their owners and service providers. “VeriComm gives O&M providers a competitive edge by letting them monitor and adjust systems remotely,” said Scott Terrell, Orenco’s Senior Systems Analyst, who coordinates the development and support of VeriComm. “Our telemetry systems have features and benefits that no one else is even close to putting into one package.”
During site visits, system operators can now monitor and operate a control panel from as far as 30 feet away using a PDA or laptop equipped with Bluetooth® technology. And system operators who remotely access site data via the Web interface can now retrieve summary reports about all their sites or details about the performance of a single site.
VeriComm panels not only notify operators via the Web of alarm conditions but also diagnose problems, recommend action, and use advanced logic to keep the system operating normally. Operators and service providers log onto a secure Web site to access system information, review operating parameters, change system settings, and clear alarms. Password access can also be granted to regulators, system designers, and others who need to audit the system.
