Orenco Signs Letter of Certification with Pelican Global for Representation in IndiaOrenco Systems, Inc. has signed a Letter of Certification granting Pelican Global, Inc. the right to market and sell Orenco’s wastewater collection and treatment products in the Republic of India. Pelican Global is the owner of Pelican Associates Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s largest industrial construction companies, and Pelican Techno Services Pvt. Ltd., which provides a wide variety of engineering services. The Letter of Certification is the initial step in becoming an authorized dealer of Orenco’s technologies.The Pelican Group is engaged in the delivery of turnkey commercial and industrial projects throughout India, from site preparation, facility design and construction, to complete outfitting of properties with interior finishing, electrical, mechanical, and water utility services. The company, based in Kolkata (Calcutta) and with offices in New Delhi and Bangalore, was founded in 1952 and has grown from an air conditioning supply company to a full service engineering and contracting company, representing several internationally-known building product lines. Mr. Subhasish Mitra, Managing Director of Pelican Global, met with Orenco’s owners and managers to discuss the opportunities to introduce sustainable wastewater technologies to help address sanitation issues in India. Pelican’s goal is to increase the quality of effluent being discharged from their projects, while also offering Orenco’s effluent sewer and AdvanTex® Treatment Systems solutions in the world’s second most populous country. India is also one of the fastest growing economies in the world, but still faces significant challenges in water quality and environmental health. |
