An Ideal Treatment System for Schools

Schools pose a challenge for engineers of decentralized wastewater systems because of their  widely varying flows and waste strengths. Orenco’s AdvanTex Treatment Systems use a multi-pass, packed-bed filter treatment technology that is well suited for school applications, especially in conjunction with flow equalization tankage.

AdvanTex performs reliably, even under highly variable flow conditions. During the school year, schools discharge very little on weekends. In the summer, some schools have extremely low flows for up to three months. Unlike some other technologies, AdvanTex is capable of consistently meeting stringent limits without performance degradation, in spite of variable flows.

Whether an existing system needs to be replaced or a new school needs a new installation, very often the project faces severe budget constraints. All the more reason to look carefully at long-term operating and maintenance costs, as well as upfront capital costs. Low power consumption, equipment durability, and ease of operation and maintenance make AdvanTex Treatment Systems a common-sense, budget-conscious choice.

AdvanTex systems provide excellent treatment while going unnoticed by teachers and students. Treatment units blend into their surroundings, operate quietly, require little energy, and produce no noticeable odor.

Choosing a wastewater system for a school involves many challenges. For nearly 30 years, Orenco's engineers have assisted designers and school officials in overcoming these challenges to ensure reliable, affordable solutions.
