Liquid-only sewer is a cost-effective, low-impact technology for sewering communities. Prelos Processor and ProSTEP systems offer efficient, low-maintenance liquid-only sewer solutions. In a liquid-only sewer system, raw sewage flows into a watertight underground tank located at each site, where solids are naturally treated and only need pumping every 10-12 years. Filtered effluent (liquid only) is discharged from the tanks to shallow, small-diameter collection lines that follow the land’s contour, reducing excavation costs and installation time compared to gravity sewers. This streamlined process minimizes community disruption, is less noticeable than invasive trenching, and allows businesses to operate normally during construction.

Prelos® Processor

The Prelos Processor is the heart of Orenco’s Prelos Sewer System, an innovative technology based on 40 years of proven sewer solutions. It provides complete, high-quality, integrated storage, filtration, and pressurized or gravity transport of wastewater. The durable Prelos DCPD tank stores and passively treats solid waste, while the Biotube® pump vault and effluent filter remove suspended solids. A field-serviceable PF-Series pump transports the filtered liquid effluent to additional treatment. The Prelos Processor can be installed to 5 feet (1525 mm) burial depth in a wide range of soil conditions and groundwater levels.

ProSTEP™ System

The ProSTEP Effluent Pumping System – Infiltrator’s™ ProSTEP Tank combined with Orenco’s Biotube® ProSTEP pump package – is a complete, high-quality system for storage, filtration, and pressurized transport of wastewater. The durable, lightweight Infiltrator ProSTEP Tank stores and passively treats solid waste, while the Biotube ProSTEP pump package removes suspended solids. A field-serviceable Orenco pump transports the filtered liquid effluent to additional treatment. The system can be configured with a range of pump, controls, and durable polypropylene tank options. And it can be installed to 4 feet (1220 mm) burial depth, depending on soil conditions and groundwater level.
